About Us
Welcome to BritPool
The UK-based mining pool with zero fees. Keep 100% of what you mine.
Who Are We
We’ve got decades of professional experience running mission-critical IT infrastructures for large corporations across the world. We apply those same disciplines to managing our pool. We’re based in the UK, as is all the hardware we use to power BritPool.
Our Mission
Simple – we aim to provide a highly available, high-performance mining pool at zero cost to you, our miners.
To keep our own costs low (and your fees at zero) we currently only offer solo mining for Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Why "BritPool"
The name reflects our United Kingdom base. Although miners in the UK and Europe will enjoy the lowest latency, we’ve successfully tested the pool with miners as far away as Hong Kong. Wherever you are in the world, give us a try.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. There’s no registration. Just point your miner at the pool using your own BCH address as the username — the first time you connect, you’re automatically set up.
Absolutely none. We don’t charge you to use the pool and if you find a block, you keep 100% of the reward. We don’t take a penny. All you have to worry about is the energy costs to power your miner.
There’s no minimum. The pool automatically adjusts the difficulty for your device, so everything from a small USB “lottery” miner to a large ASIC or even a farm can connect. Very low-powered devices will just submit shares less frequently.
All miners provide you with a webpage or app from which you can monitor your miner’s performance. We also provide you with a stats page so you can see how you’re performing against the pool. Just enter your BCH address.
This is a solo pool. If your miner finds a valid block, the full block reward goes directly to your own BCH address — nothing is shared or split with other miners on the pool, and we’re not involved in the payout process whatsoever. If you don’t find a block, there’s no payout… the same as solo mining anywhere.
Potentially not, no — that’s the nature of solo mining. Your odds of finding a block depend entirely on your hashrate versus the total network hashrate, and for home miners can be a long shot. This pool exists for people who want to mine solo and understand the odds, not as a guaranteed-income service. If you want steadier, smaller, more frequent payouts, a traditional shared pool is a better fit.
If you find a block the Bitcoin Cash network essentially mints new coins and pays those to you directly. We never hold, touch, or have access to any funds.
Anything that speaks the standard Stratum mining protocol for SHA-256 (the same algorithm BCH shares with Bitcoin) — most modern ASICs and mining software will work out of the box.
The pool is constantly monitored and protected against suspicious or malicious traffic. Standard stratum connections aren’t encrypted. You’re only sending hashes (basically random strings of alphanumeric characters). If someone were to intercept them, they’re of zero value to the hacker.
Absolutely. Just use the same BCH address appended with a worker name, like .Nano or .BitAxe and our pool will recognise each of those as a separate device.
Yes. We have tested both the integrity of the zero fee mechanism, and the robustness of our infrastructure. You can view the results of these tests here.
